Data protection

Overview

The protection of personal data is of great concern to many Internet users and an important foundation for a pleasant and satisfactory Internet experience. aft automotive GmbH always takes very seriously the questions and concerns of our customers and other visitors of our website pertaining to the protection of personal data and we comply with all data protection legislation in Germany and abroad, as well as the corresponding EU directives. Whether you are a customer of our products and services or a visitor to our website, we assure you, that we do not collect personal information from you, unless you make it available to us.

Please note that our website contains links to other websites. aft automotive GmbH accepts no responsibility for compliance with data protection, privacy statements and contents on the part of these other websites. aft automotive GmbH is responsible solely for its own contents, which it offers for use, in accordance with general legislation. A distinction must be made between our own contents and any cross-references ("links") we provide to other content on third-party websites. The links are used by aft automotive GmbH solely to make "external content" available to the user. aft automotive GmbH can only be held responsible for external contents, if they had definite knowledge of these (i.e. including any illegal or criminal content) and if it is technically possible and within reason to prevent the use of said content (§5 para.2 TDG).

"Links" are always "living" (dynamic) referrals. aft automotive GmbH examined the third-party content at the time of the initial link, to determine whether it might provoke any civil or criminal liability. According to the TDG (Teleservices Act) the content provider is not obligated to continually review the contents of linked websites to determine whether subsequent changes have led to liability on its part. Only when the provider first notices or it is brought to his attention by others that a particular offer to which he has already provided a link may infringe civil or criminal law resulting in liability, will he remove the link to this offer, insofar as it is technically possible and reasonable to do so. Technical feasibility and reasonableness shall not be affected by the fact that the illegal or criminal offer might still be accessible via other servers even after aft automotive GmbH terminates access from its website.

We use cookies exclusively in the situations described below. The first situation involves temporary cookies. We use temporary cookies in two circumstances. When you access our services via one of our online applications, our web server automatically sends a temporary cookie to your browser, in order to facilitate your navigation of our website. When you fill in a questionnaire, you can choose whether or not our website should send a cookie to your local hard drive. This type of cookie is not temporary, however, you can deactivate it at any time via your browser settings. If you choose not to accept this type of cookie, you may nevertheless use our website. If you accept this type of cookie, you save time since you don't need to fill in questionnaires and/or repeat visits to our website do not apply. Even if you have accepted this type of cookie, you can set your browser at any time to notify you whenever a cookie is sent to you. Thus, you always have the option of deciding whether to accept the cookie or deny it. This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called cookies, which are text files saved on the user's computer, to enable analysis of the use of the website by the user. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website will be transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the United States. However, if IP anonymisation is activated on this website, Google will first abbreviate your IP address within member states of the European Union or in other member states of the European Economic Area Agreement. As requested by the website operator, Google uses this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports about your activities within this site for the use of the website operator and to provide further services related to website and Internet use. Under no circumstances will Google join the IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics with other Google data. You can prevent the installation of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser; however, please note that in this case you may not be able to use the complete range of functions of this website.
